Take a walk with a difference on one of our Urban Community Walks. Immerse yourself in the community of Inanda which is just 20 minutes away from Durban. There you will find a township that is rich in history and culture of days gone by. What is so fascinating is that this rich history and culture determines the present way of how the folk in this township live.

 

The Ohlange Trail ‘’Madiba’s first Vote’’ allows you to discover the life of the first ANC president and his heritage left behind. As you walk through this community you will find many organisations that have developed a philosophy of community engagement and upliftment, on-going perseverance and work that will leave you overwhelmed.

 

The Bhambayi Trail takes you to the home of the late Mahatma Ghandi where he lived for 21 years and lets you experience his way of life in this area as you walk through the community. Learn about his values and life principles which still exist and are communicated to the world in various ways.

 

There you will find a township that is rich in history and culture of days gone by. What is so fascinating is that this rich history and culture determines the present way of how the folk in this township live.

 

  • Enjoy a fascinating lunch meal at one of the many exciting food zones en-route and get a taste of traditonal Zulu Beer Brewing!
  • Experience a fascinating visit with a Sangoma and enjoy the flavours of the local Shebeen.
  • On your way down to the Rasta caves you will get a view of the magnificent uMzinyathi waterfall.

 

Enjoy breathtakingly views of the uMzinyathi Waterfalls - This is one of Durban's most interesting experiences.  Your guide will show you the way to the uMzinyathi Gorge and discover its waterfall and pristine valley vegetation. And when you think you have seen it all, you'll take a hike down into the steep gorge where you are stunned by a sacred cliff face cave, which has been used by Rastafarians as a place for their spiritual traditions.
