Plunging into a new culture and experience a different way to see the world is one of the key learning aspects of our volunteer program. Living in a new and non-familiar environment and working in a Zulu community in South Africa is part of that unique and requires a special amount of courage. Green Corridors aims to engage young people from various countries in our community development programs around Durban. It is a highly beneficial learning experience for both the volunteers and the community. You as a volunteer will learn a lot about yourself and it gives you the chance to develop cross-cultural communication skills. Further, by sharing your skills and contributing to community based projects, locals get the chance to expand their knowledge and learn from you. Become a volunteer for Green Corridors for a life-changing experience!

Durban Green Corridors has offered a new meaning to voluntarism by putting us up in a homestay, staying in a homestay accommodation has given us the authentic experience of Zulu tradition. It's given us such a more meaningful experience of life in a rural community in South Africa, something we would not have had staying in a B&B or hotel!

Balancing the health of eco-systems with the needs of a growing population requires innovation, investment and partnerships. By collaborating across the public and private sectors we work to identify and package sustainable eco-tourism opportunities that can survive the cyclical nature of commercial sponsorships and campaigns.
Journeying with our key partners we continue to embrace multiple habitats and communities with a belief that this collective approach can catalyze opportunities both locally and across neighbouring
