iSithumba Valley of a 1000 Hills Village Explorer Tour

Per Person R 330.00

Arguably, one of the most authentic cultural tours in KwaZulu-Natal

At iSithumba Adventures, in the Valley of a thousand hills, you can take a guided tour of the quintessential rural Zulu village. Our guides are all local people who know the area like the back of their hand and who have incredible knowledge and fascinating stories about traditional Zulu Culture, rituals, customs and general way of life.

Visit the Head Man (Village Chief) of the village and pose your questions to him, meet the Spiritual Healer and find out why and how he does his work for local village people. Visit a Shebeen (Local Bar) and the local store and you may even be welcomed by a traditional Zulu meal cooked by one the local ladies. If you choose to spend the night you can safely do so at our homesteads where you can wake up to the sounds of the animals and to see the sun rising over the beautiful rolling hills.

The tour includes a Cultural Guide and an option for a traditional cultural meal (please enquire with Reservations).

 Customer Reviews

"Dear Jeffrey and Team at Durban Green Corridor, My clients from Switzerland enjoyed the visit to the iSithumba village in the valley of thousand hills on Monday 1 August 2016. It gave them a good insight of a very vibrant semi rural environment in Zululand in close vicinity of a large harbor city such us Durban. In their words it was a special and unique and impressive experience." - Hanspeter Cycadeles tours
