Mountain bike trails are one of Durban Green Corridor’s most popular activities. With existing mountain bike trail networks between Pietermaritzburg and the river estuary at Blue Lagoon in Durban, we offer a mountain biking experience for all levels.
Epic Trails, Safe, Secure, Top Notch Guides, exciting locations and great facilities for a morning out or a full weekend of adventures. If you are an experienced mountain biker you can simply come through to one of our sites with your own equipment, and use any of our mountain bike trails. We can advise you on the most exhilarating trails when you arrive and then you are free to explore or try out one of our new pump tracks.
For those who prefer time on the water Hire a canoe and spend the day out at the uMngeni Mouth (at GreenHub) or head inland to eNanda Adventure Centre, on Inanda Dam for a fun filled day the entire family will love. Guided or self guided, paddle, explore or just drift along.
We offer guided canoeing around Durban at both uMngeni Adventures (Blue Lagoon, Durban) as well as at eNanda Adventure Park (at Inanda Dam). At both of these sites we provide all equipment and safety gear and you can be sure of a fun and safe paddling adventure.
eNanda Guided Canoeing
At eNanda Adventures, you can paddle across the dam; and whilst doing so can take in the breathtaking scenery and even spot some bird-life along the way. This site is ideal for families looking for fun things to do and getting out of the city. The dam in this area is well protected from prevailing winds and boat traffic making it fun, safe and beautiful
uMngeni Guided Canoeing
We offer canoeing around Durban at uMngeni Adventures (Blue Lagoon, Durban), where you can paddle up the river to Conought Bridge and down towards the river mouth. On the guided tour; our experienced guides will take you out and give you an insight into the river's exciting bird life, flora, ecology and history of the uMngeni estuary.

eNanda MTB Self Guided
Bring your own bike and join our magnificent trails. The Inanda Dam and its surrounds, located only 30 minutes drive from Durban, is the perfect place for adventure sports. if you love mountain biking Inanda offers you ideal conditions for your outdoor experience. The surroundings of Inanda Dam currently offer more than 100 km of beautiful, maintained trails.The Durban Green Corridor runs a Trail Centre and pump track adjacent to the dam which functions as a centre of all outdoor activities and offers braai facilities, sanitation as well as secure parking.
eNanda MTB Guided Trails
Although we have a wide variety of options for trails (over 100Km's) the most popular leaves from eNanda Adventure Centre towards the waterfall dirt road where you pass the gorgeous Mzinyathi Falls and join some epic single track (called Steven’s trail) Steven’s trail is 15km and is very technical. At your 13 km point you will get a VOMITER Hill, it’s a uphill and rocky for about 50 meters and you get to the switch backs that are very technical for about 2,5 km, aptly named "Loose Your Front Teeth" Switch backs: The final stretch is called SHAYAMOYA which brings you back to eNanda.
iSithumba MTB Self Guided
Enjoy the stunning natural beauty of the Valley of 1000 Hills, only 45 min drive west of central Durban. iSithumba is a small Zulu village situated on the banks of the uMngeni River and at the foot of the impressive granite boulder, iSithumba Mountain, locally also known as “Old Baldy” – iSithumba Has a range of mountain Biking trails from easy, beginner level to technical climbs and downhill rides that will get your heart racing. This area includes a large portion of the trails used by the Dusi2C Mountain Bike Race and simply gorgeous, epic scenery and incredible single track fun

Bring along your own mountain bikes OR hire a bike at a reasonable rate; and enjoy guided tours along the uMgeni Estuary trails.The outing will be tailored to suit your time and interests. All cycling routes are easy to moderate in level of difficulty. Visitors experience the combination of the beach, estuary and the river with all their associated activities and offerings, options to explore some of the city landmarks on bicycle is also very popular, this includes options to cycle the Durban Beachfront (the famous Golden Mile) Moses Mabhida Stadium and other landmarks.
