Job Description

The appointed individual will be responsible for supporting the program’s overall administration functions including general HR matters, project assets / inventory management, transportation and vehicles management, compliance, relationship management with service providers, and general office administration. The key function of this position is to support the senior programme managers across project operations.

Reports To

Green Corridors General Manager

Key Duties

  • Assist in developing and/or updating standard operating procedures for all business operational activities;
  • Ensure team follows standard operating procedures for all operational functions;
  • Assist in human resources, issuing contracts, performance appraisals, health & safety compliance, leave applications, terminations/end of contracts, training co-ordination, issuing disciplinary notices, etc;
  • Work in compliance with company policies and procedures;
  • Manage company insurance/ project asset coverage / service provider contracts;
  • Oversee monitoring of company vehicle policy and all administration relating to the vehicles/transportation management;
  • Oversee inventories stock systems and manage project office supplies and procurement orders;
  • Maintain project assets inventory and assets log;
  • Lead administration aspects of events and workshops;
  • Provide all programmes logistic support;
  • And other duties as required by the General Manager.

Key Skills, Experience and requirements

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree required in business administration, or other relevant field;
  • Minimum of eight years’ work experience in relevant responsibilities, supply chain management experience will be an added advantage.
  • Previous experience in Ethekwini municipality or other donor-funded / NGO programs is a strong advantage;
  • Strong interpersonal, communications, and reporting skills;
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to details; and
  • Code 08 drivers license with at least 4 years manual vehicle driving experience.
