Mqeku Picnic Site is a simply amazing spot on the confluence of the uMngeni and Mqueku Rivers about 20 minutes from Hillcrest. Activities include camping, picnic sites, amazing bird watching, 4x4 trails as well as excellent hiking trails and the famous Mqeku Bum Slide.  If you're looking for an epic day out or a spot for a picnic and to explore one of Durban's most well-hidden gems, put this on your bucket list.

Getting There

Take advantage of our Shuttle Bus to Mqeku, or if you are self-driving, a 4 x 4 is recommended.  Use Mafula Store on the Google maps as your GPS point to guide you there.
